BaruwaOS 6 will reach End of Life (EOL) on November 30, 2026

The support period of BaruwaOS 6 will end on November 30, 2026.

After November 30, 2026 no further updates or security fixes will be released.

Why

Upstream support for Enterprise Linux 6 ended on November 30, 2020.

ClamAV signature support for ClamAV 1.0.x LTS ends on Nov-28 2026.

Rust language support for Linux kernel 2.6.x ended on September 22nd, 2022.

Up until this point we have provided Extended Life Cycle support to provide updates and security fixes for BaruwaOS 6. With the end of ClamAV signature support due for Nov-28 2026 it is no longer viable to keep BaruwaOS 6 systems in production.

What should i do ?

Upgrade your system to BaruwaOS 9.

We have provided both an in-place and new installations migration processes to allow you to upgrade your system to BaruwaOS 9.
